A Collection of Five Northern California Artists

Every work of art begins in solitude. It reaches farther when another pair of eyes asks, What if?

Five Voices was formed in 2024 by five artists who believe that honest, thoughtful critique is one of the greatest gifts artists can offer one another. Once a month, we gather to share work in progress, ask difficult questions, solve creative problems, and encourage one another to see beyond what has become familiar.

Our work is varied in style, subject, and medium. We do not strive for a common aesthetic; we value our differences. Each voice brings a unique perspective, and it is that diversity that deepens the conversation.

Painting is often a solitary pursuit. This group reminds us that it doesn't have to be a lonely one. Trust, candor, curiosity, and mutual respect have become as important to our creative lives as the hours we spend alone in our studios.

This exhibition celebrates five individual artists—and the ongoing conversation that helps each of us continue to grow.
